He is a very famous Ninja together with Seiko Fujita here in Japan. They
are very famous as Ninja both in Japan and in the world. But Masaaki Hatsumi
is much more famous internationally.Born in Chiba prefecture,he masterd
a variety of martial arts such as Karate,Judo(kodokan Judo 5 dan)Jukendo,Boxing
and many other martial arts since he was a child.First,he learned Takashi Ueno-Tenshinkoryu and then learned under Toshitsugu Takamatsu when he was at the age of 27,as you know.(Takashi Ueno was a diciple of Takamatsu sensei).Of course,he has some teachers of martial arts.It is less well known that he learned martial arts under Keishichi IshiguroHe called him as Sensei in his book, entitled Martial Arts in the world.according
t the book,he has formed a friendship with Ishiguro families(Keishichi,Keisho
and Keisho's son) for three generations. So It seems that Keishichi Ishiguro
has a great influence on Masaaki Hatsumi. You'll see a photo of Masaaki
Hatsumi with Keishichi Ishiguro in the book.Keishichi Ishiguro was a great
Judo Player. Moreover he was an adviser of Japan Karatedo Federation.
As far as I know, there are two types of Kukinage in Japan. One was thought out by Kyuzo Mifune, who has been called God of Judo, and another was thought out by Keishichi Ishiguro.Keishichi Ishiguro has published Judo book, entitled "Kukinage".
He inherited the posesson of Soke of 9ryu and called the 9ryu Bujinkan Budo and founded his famous Dojo.

About Masaaki Hatsumi,we have a lot to discuss and it would be impossible
to describe them all here.
He has published some books on Ninja and Martial Arts.It may take long time to look through them because we have a poor knowledge of Ninja and we are "not" good at English. However it may be worth giving info for those who are interested in Ninja because except for Japan,it is very difficult get info on Ninja.Sorry for our poor English!Japanese-book.com by Art Garage
