In the middle Edo period,elegantly dyed fabrics with freely painted designs in astoundingly beautiful colors dominated the world of Kimono fashion. Traditional yet innovative in design ,yuzen-dyed fabrics consist of fine white lines drawn with itomeori and motifs dyed in a variety of subtly graduated colors. So great was the popularity of these yuzen-dyed fabrics,their appeal remains unchallanged even after a lapse of 300years.
