They are printed on thick, high quality paper.All photos were taken by famous photographer-Taikichi Irie.

Irie, Taikichi (1905-92), Japanese photographer born in the ancient capital, Nara. He opened a photographic shop and studio in Osaka before the Second World War. After the war, he became aware of the traditional culture of his native city, and turned his lens towards Nara Buddhist art, a main interest throughout his life. His photographs are noted for their reverence for Buddhist discipline, whether in landscapes of the Yamato region, views of Nara, or documents of Buddhist rituals (of which he created an important historical and aesthetic record). After his death, his entire opus was donated to Nara, which established the Nara City Museum of Photography for them.
