This is a vintage Kanze-ryu Noh boook,entitled Kanze-ryu Dokugin Zenshu.
Today, there are five schools of Noh; Kanze-ryu (観世流), Hosho-ryu, Konparu-ryu, Kongo-ryu and Kita-ryu. All of these schools, except for Kita-ryu, originate from the four "Za" or groups of entertainers (eg. Kanze-za) which made up Yamato-Saru-gaku. These four groups were sponsored by the Tokugawa Bafuku.

Noh, or Nōgaku is a major form of classic Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. Together with the closely-related kyōgen farce, it evolved from various popular, folk and aristocratic art forms, including Dengaku, Shirabyoshi, and Gagaku. Although Noh has been slow and stylised for several centuries, its roots can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty's Nuo,, Sarugaku (derived from "Wu musical" traditions in various Chinese dynasties), and folk theatricals.
